Mobile engagement user guide

 

ANALYTICS:

• If you want to see the total information about your application based on historical data,you can see the ANALYTICS section in Azure Mobile Engagement portal.
• The information of the user performance displayed on different charts,grids and maps.
• We can download the user information in analytics by clicking the last button in right side as shown as below figure.

• In analytics we can see different sections those are

1. Dashboard:  Dashboard displays new users,active users information and their trends.

2.  Users:    User displays new users ,active users,retained  users information and also tracking,tracking per source,tracking per store.We can see charts by month,hours and days.

• New displays new users count and new users map.

• Active displays active users count and active user map.

• Retained displays retained users.

• In Tracking per source means the number of new users who have  downloaded the application as a result of a given  promotion campaign.

• Tracking per store means the number of new users who have downloaded the application from a given store.

3. Retention:  A user is considered as retained on a given time interval if he has performed his first session during this time interval.

Retention displays retention overview and matrix.

4 .  Sessions:  One use of the application by a user.

• Counts displays the  session count ,session count per user,session per  user distribution,session count map charts.
• Session count displays total number of sessions count.

• Session count per user display the average number of sessions per active user over time.

• Sessions per user distribution displays the number of active users who have performed a number of sessions included in a given interval.

• Session count map displays number of sessions per country, region and locality.

5.  Activities:   An activity is one use of a given sub-part of the application performed by one user.

• Activity count displays the total number of activities that have occurred over a time.

• Activity count per user displays the average number of activities per active user over time.

• Activity per user distribution displays the distribution of the number of activities per active user.

• In Length,Cumulated Activity Length displays the cumulated length of activities that have occurred over time.

• In Length,Average activity length displays the average length of activities that have occurred over time.

• In Length,Cumulated activity length per user displays the average cumulated length of activities per active user over time.

• In Length,Activity lengths distribution displays the distribution of the lengths of activities.

6. User Path: It displays Shows how your users navigate through your application’s screens.This chart explains user navigation through screens.

7.  Events:    Events means action performed by the user in application.

• In count,Event count displays total number of events in the application.

• In Count,Event count per user displays the average number of events per active user.

• In Count,Event count map displays the the number of events per country, region and locality.

• In per user,Event per user distribution displays the distribution of the number of events per active user.

• In per session,Event per session distribution displays the distribution of the number of events per session.

• In Per job,Event per job distribution displays  the distribution of the number of events per job.

8.  Jobs:   Job means duration of user tasks,that tasks can be performed in background of your application.

• In Count,Job count displays the total number of jobs in the application

• In Count,Job count per user displays the average number of jobs per active user.

• In Count,Job count per user distribution displays the distribution of the number of jobs per active user.

• In Lengths,Cumulate job length displays the cumulated length of jobs that have occurred over time.

• In Length,Average job length displays the average length of jobs that have occurred over time

• In Length,Cumulated job length per user displays the average cumulated length of jobs per active user over time.

• In Length,Job length distribution displays the distribution of the lengths of jobs.

9. Technical: It contains Technical information about the devices of the users of your app that you can track, such as the Locale, Carrier, Network, Device, Firmware, and Screen size of the users’ devices, and the Version of your App and the SDK version used in your app.

10.Errors:     It contains Information about technical errors inside the application that do not cause the application to crash.

• In Count,Error count displays the total number of errors in application.

• In Count,Error per count user displays the average number of errors per active users.

• In Count,Error count map displays the number of error per country, region and locality.

• In Per user,Error per user distribution displays the distribution of the number of errors per active users.

• In Per session,Error per session distribution displays the distribution of the number of errors per session.

• In Per Job,Error per job displays the distribution of the number of errors per job.

11.  Crashes:   Crash is an unexpected condition where the application stops performing its expected functions and must be stopped.

• In Count,Crash count displays the total number of crashes in the application.

• In Count,Crash count per user displays the average number of crashes per active user

• In Count,Crash per user distribution displays the distribution of the number of crashes per active user.

• In Details,Crash count by type displays the number of crashes that have occurred during the selected period.
